In addition to that, it was manufactured with materials salvaged from several sources making it a nice example to study. The webbing used is a mix of standard German webbing along with some British webbing which would have been made from captured British equipment from 1940 France and Greece. It measures about 2 1/4" by 1 1/2" and is 1 1/4" tall

It is simply amazing that it didn't get used up

but are very similar to wartime ones
