The skirt twirls out from the waist and is fuller then it first appear- deep inverted pleats are set all around so it has lots of fabric

These are all exceptionally minor and mentioned for accuracy

Both piece are unlined and edged in a yellow silk satin ribbon piping finish

There is slight yellowing to the lining in spots but it does not detract of course since it is inside

It is hand dyed cotton plush in a brilliant blue I cannot even imagine the process to get fabric this color in that time! A hand done crewel work flower and vine motif trail down the front of the coat and around the collar. It is also all along the inner edge of the front so if it
