process is not merely a means to an end but a meditative experience during which the physicality of carving a woodblock or etching a plate determines the way the image is brought into being

Sometimes I use mixed media when I need to go beyond the limitations of clay

Outside of his day job as Directing Animator for Pixar Creative Services, Arik is an avid sculptor and painter, working on larger one of a kind pieces as well as Limited Edition runs for his personal brand Wild WestSide. He lives in Sonoma with his wife and two children.
