The first thing that strikes you when you pick this up is that it weighs far less then you would think. You tend to think velvet will be heavy but this is a fine silk velvet fused onto silk chiffon and this allows for that feeling of lightness and movement that the dress has. Once on it is heavenly to wear. I love how she has used the curving design of the velvet
