Chinese Earthenware Plate with Spider & Insect Decoration – 20cm nephrite internal suspension webbingA Chinese glazed earthenware square plate with canted corners, decorated with a central spider on its web surrounded by a variety of insects including hornets, beetles, locusts and spiders. The plate measures approximately 20cm x 20cm and has a cream crackle glaze with a brown edged rim. The underside carries a four character red seal mark. The mark to the base reads: Hu Rng Tng Zh which translates as "Made for Huarong Hall" or "Made by Huarong Hall".
