As the snow was ending I headed out and photographed around town

With the backlit sculpture this time of day I opted for the shorter shutter speed which is this image

I arrived to the location ahead of time in order to look at the options for the shot I was planning on that evening

Under the Pier Presentation:Print Only over hillsIt's back to clouds and some rain in Juneau. As I headed back downtown and noticed the view of the pilings under the pier. Using a long lens I isolated a subset of pilings and worked to catch the reflection in Gastineau Channel. The tide was at a normal level allowing some of the growth to show just above the water level at this time today.
