It is completely cut on the bias over the inner lining so drapes and moves to fit you perfectly from the second you slip it on. The silk is feather light you could probably pull this dress through a decent size ring if it was not lined. Lots of those fab period details like the teeny gathers at the shoulders and puffed, high cap sleeves they even have tulle inside them for extra volume.
