Control Room basement Built in 1916 across NattaiRows of analogue pressure gauges cover a yellow panel in the control room at West Ryde Pumping Station, each dial face labelled for a specific northern suburb reservoir: Killara, Chatswood, Hermitage. Strip chart recorders line the left column, needles resting mid scale. The station has supplied water to Sydney's North Shore continuously since Station No. 2 was commissioned in 1921.
